CAMBRIDGE LIONS

We are the Cambridge Lions: the Cambridge University Cheerleading Society.

 

We are a competitive cheerleading club comprised of two teams who compete in national cheerleading competitions every year. Competitive cheerleading is an exciting and high-intensity sport combining stunting, tumbling, jumps and dance. 

 

The Cambridge Lions was set up in 2007 and since then we have grown significantly as a society and are currently one of the best cheerleading squads in the country. The Lions are 8-time Varsity champions against Oxford and both teams consistently place in the top 5 at national university competitions. 

 

We have a first team and a second team and for the last three seasons our first team has competed at Co-ed Level 3 and our second team has competed at Co-ed Non-Tumble Level 2. Our first team is the Blues team and athletes are eligible for a Cambridge Full-Blue or Half-Blue dependent on competition placings and skill level. Our second team is eligible for University Colours.
